Originally "Pan-American Grace Airways", the Panagra DC-6 "El Pacifico" and DC-7 "El Interamericano" aircraft were a familiar sight at Miami International Airport at Concourse E (now "inner" E). Panagra crews and staff created a distinct community within the Pan American family that created a folklore that is still popular today in Latin America. In 1967, Braniff International merged with Panagra with Braniff as the surviving carrier. Braniff in its own right created the famed El Clan advertising campaign in 1966, which catapulted it into the heart's and minds of Latin Americans that is also still remembered today. Our classic 100-percent cotton t-shirt recreates this classic era with a stunning Panagra DC-7 as the main focal point. The back panel features the fully detailed aircraft and the front features the classic Panagra logo.
